Greater Noida: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) held its 85th Board Meeting under the chairmanship of CEO Dr. Arunvir Singh and in the presence of Chairman Alok Kumar. During the meeting, a total of 54 key proposals were discussed and approved, marking a major step forward in the region’s infrastructural and economic development. District magistrates from Noida and Greater Noida and other senior officials also participated in the session.
One of the key decisions included the establishment of a new police station in the Noida International Airport complex. This facility will be set up on 1000 square meters of land, with increased Floor Area Ratio (FAR) of 2.5 and building height limit raised to 24 meters to accommodate future needs and enhance security in the airport region.
In a visionary move to enhance recreational infrastructure, sectors 22F and 23B will be developed into a 1200-acre Green Recreation Zone. This area will feature theme parks, water sports facilities, cinemas, and convention centers. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to execute the plan effectively.
The meeting also approved Phase-2 of the Master Plan 2031, focused on boosting development in rural belts of Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, and Agra. This includes granting commercial activity permissions within a 200-meter radius in designated rural areas. A systematic application and evaluation framework will be put in place to streamline this development.
Further, an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC 2.0) has been approved in Sector-10, to be developed at a total cost of Rs.341 crore, including Rs.144.48 crore in central assistance. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has been allotted 50 acres within this cluster to promote electronics manufacturing in the region.
YEIDA also approved the establishment of fire stations in Sectors 10 and 32 over 7485 square meters. The land will be transferred to the fire department at a nominal rate of Rs.1 per square meter to ensure rapid emergency response infrastructure.
To support daily needs in residential sectors, 21 plots in Sectors 18 and 20 have been re-allocated to Mother Dairy, ensuring availability of essential dairy services to residents.
Public transport in the area will soon see a green transformation, with 500 air-conditioned electric buses to be operated on the GCC (Gross Cost Contract) model across Noida, Greater Noida, and YEIDA zones. This decision aligns with the authority’s commitment to sustainable mobility.
The Board also approved a plan to allocate residential plots in Sector-25 to displaced families from eight villages. Beneficiaries will be required to pay 10% of the land acquisition cost before receiving the plots.
The Apparel Park project in Sector-29 saw significant progress, with 82 members allotted plots, out of which 61 have completed lease deeds and 7 have already begun construction of their factories. This project is expected to boost employment and industrial output in the textile sector.
Progress has also been made in clearing legacy stalled projects, with developers depositing Rs.407.90 crore in dues, paving the way for around 800 new property registrations.
To resolve pending dues and support defaulters, the Board reintroduced the One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme from July 1 to August 31, 2025, offering a financial relief window for allottees.
To ensure uninterrupted power supply to the upcoming infrastructure, including the airport, a new 132/33 kV substation will be constructed in Sector-10 on a reserved 2-hectare land parcel.
In a first, YEIDA will soon launch an online residential plot scheme through e-auction for general citizens. Guidelines and terms for this scheme will be released shortly, marking the authority’s shift toward transparent and accessible digital allotment processes.
The 85th Board Meeting of YEIDA concluded with a unified commitment to accelerate the development of the Yamuna Expressway region as a model hub of industrial, residential, and recreational excellence.
