Wipro-GE Healthcare Team Visits YEIDA Medical Devices Park to Explore Expansion Opportunities

Delegation reviews infrastructure, logistics advantages and expresses interest in land allotment at Gautam Budh Nagar facility

Gautam Budh Nagar: For development of the Medical Devices Park (MDP) in Sector-28, YEIDA Region, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is developing state-of-the-art Medical Device Park to promote domestic manufacturing and medical device exports.

In this context, a high-level delegation from M/s Wipro GE Healthcare, a joint venture between Wipro Limited and GE Healthcare, visited the Medical Devices Park on 21.01.2027. The visit was organised pursuant to an invitation extended by Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh (IAS), Chief Executive Officer, YEIDA, following proactive engagement by the Authority with the company.
During the visit, the delegation undertook a detailed site inspection of the 350-acre Medical Devices Park along with the Common Scientific Facilities being developed within the park. The delegation appreciated the infrastructure readiness and the integrated ecosystem being created for medical device manufacturing.

While interacting with the delegation, the Authority highlighted the strategic location of the park, including its proximity to the Noida International Airport, proposed Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), dedicated rail connectivity near the airport, and direct access to the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), providing significant logistics and export advantages.

The delegation was briefed on the overall ecosystem of the Medical Devices Park by Shailendra Kumar Bhatia (IAS), Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACE-O), YEIDA, including the presence of supporting industrial clusters such as Data Centre Park, Apparel Park, Semiconductor Park, and Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC), along with on-site export facilitation and licensing support.
It was informed that the Medical Devices Park is approximately 80% complete and is targeted for full completion by end of 2026. The park has already received investment commitments exceeding ₹1,200 crore, with land allotment schemes witnessing significant response from industry.

As part of its expansion strategy, M/s Wipro GE Healthcare has expressed interest in allotment of approximately 10 acres of land within the Medical Devices Park, which shall be examined by the Authority as per applicable policies and procedures.
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority reiterates its commitment to develop the Medical Devices Park as a globally competitive manufacturing and export hub, with emphasis on world-class infrastructure, ease of doing business, and integrated support facilities for the medical devices sector.
