UPSC Releases Consolidated Reserve List for ESE 2024; 35 Additional Candidates Recommended

New Delhi,– The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a consolidated reserve list for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2024, recommending an additional 35 candidates for appointment, based on merit and category allocation. This move follows the earlier declaration of ESE 2024 final results on November 22, 2024, where 206 candidates were selected for various engineering posts across ministries.

Following the declaration of results in November 2024, UPSC had initially recommended 206 candidates for appointment. Subsequently, 3 more candidates were selected to fill vacancies that had been withheld during the final results. Now, based on the requisition by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, the Commission has filled additional vacancies using the reserve list prepared in accordance with Rule 13(iv) and Rule 13(v) of the ESE 2024 guidelines.

The 35 candidates recommended in the reserve list include:

  • 20 candidates from the Unreserved (UR) category
  • 13 candidates from the Other Backward Classes (OBC)
  • 02 candidates from the Scheduled Tribe (ST)

These candidates will be directly contacted by the Department of Telecommunications regarding their appointment process.

Provisional Status of Three Candidates

The Commission has marked the candidature of three individuals as provisional. Their roll numbers are:

  • 0202438
  • 0503707
  • 0504240

The UPSC has clarified that these candidates will not receive appointment offers until they furnish the pending original documents required for verification. The provisional status will remain valid for three months from the date of this reserve list announcement. If the necessary documents are not submitted within this timeframe, their candidature will be canceled permanently.

Candidates included in this reserve list are advised to regularly check official communication from the Ministry of Communications and promptly respond to any document or verification-related requests.
