UPSC to Open 3-Day Correction Window for NDA & CDS Exam Applications as One-Time Measure

New Delhi, June 26- In a significant relief to aspirants, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a three-day correction window to allow candidates to rectify errors made during the application process for the NDA & NA Examination (II), 2025 and CDS Examination (II), 2025.

This one-time facility will enable candidates to make necessary corrections to their submitted forms, including entries in both the Common Application Form and Examination Application Form. The move comes after the Commission noticed multiple errors in documents and personal details submitted by applicants.

The correction window follows the recent rollout of UPSC’s new Online Application Portal, launched on May 28, 2025, which replaced the older One Time Registration (OTR) module. The revamped platform now comprises four parts:

1. Account Creation

2. Universal Registration

3. Common Application Form

4. Examinations Module (exam-specific notices and forms)

Of these, the first three are universal across exams, while the fourth is tailored to specific recruitment notifications like CDS and NDA.Why the Correction Window?

UPSC Chairman Dr. Ajay Kumar explained the rationale:

“Despite multiple verification checks built into the new portal, we’ve noticed that many applicants—especially first-time users—have made mistakes while filling out forms or uploading documents. As a one-time gesture, the Commission will allow corrections.”

Dr. Kumar also confirmed that the National Informatics Centre (NIC) is currently developing the required software module for the correction process. Once ready and fully tested, the exact dates for accessing the correction window will be announced on the official UPSC website.

• It is applicable exclusively for NDA & NA (II), 2025 and CDS (II), 2025 applicants.

• Candidates can edit personal details, rectify errors, or replace incorrect documents.

• No further correction opportunity will be provided beyond this one-time window.
