From Kalinjar Fort to Brahmos, a grand showcase of tradition seamlessly blending with progress

New Delhi/Lucknow, January 22 : On the occasion of Republic Day, Uttar Pradesh’s tableau at the national parade on Kartavya Path, New Delhi, is set to once again emerge as a major attraction for audiences from India and across the world. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the tableau vividly portrays the state’s rich cultural heritage alongside its dynamic development journey, with a special focus on the glorious legacy of Bundelkhand.

The presentation brings to life the historic grandeur of the ancient Kalinjar Fort while simultaneously reflecting the fast evolving image of modern Uttar Pradesh. It embodies the Yogi government’s vision of balanced governance, where preservation of heritage and accelerated development go hand in hand.

At the forefront of the tableau stands the iconic “Ekamukh Lingam”, one of the most renowned rock cut sculptures of Kalinjar Fort. It symbolizes Bundelkhand’s ancient spiritual traditions, cultural consciousness and deep rooted religious faith, highlighting the region’s timeless historical identity.

The central section showcases Bundelkhand’s vibrant handicraft traditions, including pottery, bead craft and local trade practices. These art forms are promoted under the ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) scheme, reflecting the Yogi government’s focused efforts to empower traditional artisans, connect them to global markets and promote self reliance. This segment underscores Bundelkhand’s economic resilience and strong cultural ethos.

The rear portion of the tableau features intricately carved pillars and majestic gateways of Kalinjar Fort, with tourists depicted exploring its historic corridors. The magnificent representation of the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple further reinforces Kalinjar’s spiritual significance and architectural splendor, positioning Bundelkhand as a prominent cultural and tourism destination.
Adding vibrancy to the tableau, Bundeli artists perform traditional folk dances, bringing alive the region’s folk culture, festive spirit and colorful traditions. These performances reflect a way of life deeply rooted in Bundelkhand’s heritage and community values.

The final segment of the tableau transitions into a modern structure inspired by fort architecture, symbolizing strength and progress. It features representations of the Brahmos missile, expansive expressway networks, industrial growth and world class infrastructure. Together, these elements highlight Uttar Pradesh’s rapid development, enhanced defense capabilities and robust infrastructure under the Yogi government’s leadership.

Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is confidently moving forward while preserving its cultural roots. Bundelkhand’s tableau not only establishes the region’s identity on the national stage but also demonstrates how tradition and progress together are shaping Uttar Pradesh’s journey toward a New India.
