UP CM Yogi Adityanath Orders Immediate Relief for Farmers Affected by Unseasonal Rain, Hailstorms, and Fires

Lucknow, April 8: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level review today to assess the damage caused to crops by unseasonal rain, hailstorms, and fire accidents in some districts.

The Chief Minister directed that precise, impartial, and timely assessment of losses for all affected farmers and sharecroppers be conducted, and immediate assistance provided. He instructed the revenue, agriculture, and related departments to coordinate effectively and submit survey reports to the government without delay to ensure smooth relief distribution.

Officials were asked to coordinate with insurance companies for quick settlement of crop insurance claims and ensure that farmers directly receive benefits under relevant schemes. Authorities were also instructed to make farmers aware of insurance coverage and facilitate claim processing.

CM Yogi Adityanath ordered adequate allocation of funds from the State Disaster Relief Fund to all affected districts. District magistrates were directed to ensure transparent and swift disbursement of relief to farmers and sharecroppers.

For victims of fire accidents, including loss of life or livestock, the Chief Minister directed that relief amounts be provided within 24 hours, and eligible individuals be given benefits under the ‘Krisak Durgatna Bima Yojana’ at the earliest.

Officials said the measures aim to provide rapid financial support, minimize farmers’ losses, and strengthen resilience against natural calamities in the state.
