New Delhi , 13 September 2025— Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Smt. Savitri Thakur undertook an on-ground assessment of areas in Himachal Pradesh recently hit by flash floods, landslides, and cloudbursts.

The Minister travelled along the Kullu–Manali corridor, inspecting key sites including Vaishno Mata Temple, Sabzi Mandi (Bandrol), Raison, Dohlu Nala, Fozal Nala, Duada Vihal, Jatehar Vihal (Patlikuhal), Nalsu Nala, Manalsu Nala, Solang, Palchang, Samahan, Bahang, and the 14th to 17th Mile stretches bordering the Beas River.

These locations have suffered severe road damage following heavy rains and landslides. Smt. Thakur noted that the Central Government and the National Highways Authority of India are carrying out emergency repairs and reconstruction on a priority basis to restore traffic and provide quick relief.
During her visit, the Minister interacted with affected residents, heard their concerns firsthand, and reviewed ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.
