New Delhi – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the UGC NET June 2025 result date. As per the latest update shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the results will be declared on July 22, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the examination can access their results on the official website — ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The UGC NET June 2025 exam was conducted between June 25 and June 29, covering various subjects for the eligibility of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The provisional answer key was released on July 5, with the objection window open from July 6 to July 8, 2025.
According to the information bulletin released by NTA, the following steps are used in the result preparation process:
Step I: Only 6% of the total candidates who appeared in both papers of NET will qualify for Assistant Professor eligibility, based on Master’s degree performance.
Step II: Total slots will be reserved category-wise, following the Government of India’s reservation policy.
Step III:
Minimum 40% aggregate marks required for General and EWS categories.
Minimum 35% aggregate marks for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwD, and Third Gender candidates.
Step IV: Cut-offs will be subject-wise and category-wise, based on the number of available slots and the highest-scoring candidates.
Step V: JRF slots are also allotted category-wise, again in line with official reservation norms.
