New Delhi– The Udyam Sakhi Portal (https://udyamsakhi.com/) has emerged as a vital platform for women entrepreneurs across India, helping them start, manage, and expand their businesses while promoting self-reliance. Since its launch, a total of 4,535 women have registered on the portal, according to information provided by Minister of State for MSME, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha today.
The portal provides comprehensive information about key financial schemes under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), including PMEGP, CGTMSE, MUDRA, and TReDS, among others. These schemes are designed to enable women to access funding, expand operations, and achieve business sustainability.
In addition to financial assistance, Udyam Sakhi offers details about policies and programmes of the Ministry of MSME as well as other Central Ministries. It also provides guidance on preparing business plans and connects users with nodal offices and supporting organizations across various states in India.
Women entrepreneurs can also access information about exhibitions, trade fairs, and international events organized by the Ministry of MSME, helping them showcase their products, network, and explore new markets.
The development of the Udyam Sakhi Portal involved an expenditure of Rs. 43.52 lakh in 2018. The platform continues to serve as a crucial tool in empowering women entrepreneurs and promoting their participation in India’s growing business ecosystem.
