New Delhi: The vibrant Teej Utsav 2025 commenced at New Delhi’s Bikaner House on Wednesday, with Rajasthan’s Chief Secretary and Chief Resident Commissioner, Sudhansh Pant, formally inaugurating the celebrations. The week-long festival, which will continue until July 30, features a rich display of traditional Rajasthani culture, including handicraft stalls and a food festival organized by Rajeevika and RUDA.
In his inaugural address, Sudhansh Pant stated that the event offers the people of Delhi, including the Rajasthani diaspora, an opportunity to immerse themselves in Rajasthan’s colorful traditions, cultural heritage, handcrafted products, folk music, dance, and authentic cuisine. He emphasized that to further promote Rajasthani handicrafts, the government has launched a dedicated digital platform the ‘RajSakhi‘ app and portal which enables local artisans to showcase and sell their products to national and international buyers. Resident Commissioner Jogaram described the festival as a celebration of Rajasthan’s rich cultural legacy, providing a unique platform for artists to demonstrate their exceptional craftsmanship and traditional arts. Rajeevika’s State Mission Director, Neha Giri, noted that the handicraft fair is not merely an exhibition but a tribute to the creativity and skill of Rajasthani women artisans. She added that the event supports their livelihoods by connecting them to a broader public.
