Surajkund International Crafts Fair 2026 Preparations Reviewed by Haryana Tourism Minister

Haryana Tourism Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma reviewed preparations for the 39th Surajkund International Crafts Fair 2026, focusing on security, facilities, and cultural arrangements.

Faridabad: Haryana Tourism Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma today held a comprehensive review meeting regarding the preparations for the 39th Surajkund International Crafts Fair – 2026, to be held in Surajkund. Following the meeting, he visited the site to inspect the preparations and issued necessary instructions to the officers of the concerned departments.

The Tourism Minister said that the Surajkund International Crafts Fair is a symbol of the cultural identity not only of the state but also of the country, attracting a large number of tourists from India and abroad. He instructed the officials to ensure that all arrangements for the fair are completed on time and to a high standard, so that visitors do not face any inconvenience.

During the inspection, the Minister reviewed the artisans’ pavilions, entry and exit gates, parking arrangements, security arrangements, traffic management, sanitation, drinking water, electricity, toilets, health services, and fire safety arrangements. He emphasized that the convenience of tourists is paramount and that all departments should work in coordination to achieve this.

Instructions were also given in the meeting to pay special attention to the accommodation, food, and other basic amenities for the Indian and international artists and artisans participating in the fair. Instructions were also given to ensure the quality of cultural programs, stage arrangements, and timely execution.

The Tourism Minister stressed the need to further strengthen security arrangements, emphasizing crowd management, CCTV surveillance, deployment of police personnel, and the availability of emergency services. He said that the Surajkund Fair showcases Haryana’s glorious traditions and that any negligence at any level will not be tolerated for its success.

Present on the occasion were Dr. Amit Kumar Agarwal, Commissioner and Secretary, Haryana Tourism Department, Parth Gupta, Managing Director, Haryana Tourism Corporation; Satyender Kumar Gupta, Police Commissioner, DC Ayush Sinha and senior officers from the district administration, tourism department, police department, and various other concerned departments.
