CM Rekha Gupta Declares ‘Operation Sindoor’ as a Symbol of India’s Sovereignty and National Pride

New Delhi, May 13, 2025- In the honour of the unmatched bravery and courage of the Indian Armed Forces, Delhi Chief Minister  Rekha Gupta today led the ‘Shaurya Samman Yatra’ organized by the Delhi Government from Kartavya Path to National War memorial. The main objective of this nationwide campaign was to bring the message and achievements of the recently successful ‘Operation Sindoor’ to every citizen.

Addressing the gathering, CM Rekha Gupta strongly stated, “If the masterminds of terrorism even dare to raise their eyes toward India, they will be met with a strong and resolute response.”

The Chief Minister said that the yatra aims to instill patriotism, discipline, and a deep sense of respect for the Armed Forces among youth and citizens. The event saw participation from Delhi Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, and a large number of citizens.

On the occasion, CM Rekha Gupta described Operation Sindoor as a symbol of India’s self-respect and sovereignty. She said the dedication and valor with which our soldiers protect our borders is a source of inspiration and pride for every Indian. The Shaurya Samman Yatra is Delhi Government’s humble tribute to these brave hearts.

She further noted that this yatra is a celebration of India’s decisive policy against terrorism and of the success of Operation Sindoor, which marked a new milestone in India’s counter-terrorism efforts. The operation represents India’s strong response to terrorism, resulting in the destruction of major terrorist strongholds. Through this bold action, India has reaffirmed its commitment to defending its territorial integrity and sending a clear message to enemies of the nation.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the yatra stands as a collective tribute to the unmatched courage, gallantry, and sacrifice of our soldiers who gave everything in the service of the nation. It also reinforces the unity, integrity, and unwavering commitment to national security.

Quoting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, she said, “Zero tolerance against terrorism is the guarantee for a better world,” adding that the Delhi Government fully supports this policy and wishes to convey a message of national solidarity.

She stressed that the Delhi Government is not limited to state-level governance, but is also actively working toward nation-building, national security, and social harmony. Through this yatra, the message is clear that the National security is not the responsibility of one state or institution, but a shared duty of 140 crore Indians.

CM Gupta further said, “We, the people of Delhi, express our heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister and salute our armed forces. The way our military is defending the nation day and night, and delivering strong responses to terrorists and enemies, is a matter of immense pride for every Indian. Delhi Government, the people of Delhi, and the entire nation stand firmly with our Armed Forces in this fight against terror.”

She also strongly condemned Pakistan’s policies that promote terrorism and reiterated, “If the masterminds of terrorism even dare to look at India, our armed forces and our government, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, will respond with full strength. India is now operating under a clear, decisive, and powerful strategy to eliminate terrorism.”
