Students will yearn for admission in SUPVS – Yashpal Sharma
Actor Yashpal Sharma spoke to the audience and students about the nuances of acting, theatre, and film. He said that the present time is miraculous and offers immense opportunities to learn and do. He advised students to use mobile phones properly and limit their usage, saying that excessive use of mobile phones is causing young people to lose focus. While focus is very important to progress in the fields of acting, art, and film. He mentioned that before taking on any role, one should first characterize it, stating that if a script comes to you, read it four to five times without speaking, and you will understand yourself the scope of the role you have to play. If you are playing the role of an inspector, you should know how that inspector behaves, what their salary is, who is in their family, and whether they take bribes or not. This is nothing to be taught; an actor needs to develop his characterization in this way on his own. He provided detailed information about the four elements of acting according to Bharat Muni’s Natya Shastra: vocal, physical, emotional, and sattvic. Yashpal Sharma said that having an institution like SUPVA in our state is a matter of pride for us. I feel that in the future, students will yearn to get admission to SUPVA. He motivated the students to work creatively and diligently.
