S.L. Wadhwa takes charge as Northern Railway Promotee Officers Association President

New Delhi: The Executive Council Meet-2026 of Northern Railway Promotee Officers Association was successfully held at the Northern Railway Headquarters, Baroda House. During the meeting, elections for the new executive committee were conducted. S.L. Wadhwa was elected as President, B.B. Garg as Executive President, Virendra Kumar as General Secretary, and Pooja Makhija as Treasurer. The event was attended by Northern Railway General Manager Ashok Kumar Verma and Additional General Manager Mohit Chandra, whose presence added significance to the programme.

Senior office-bearers of the association, along with promotee officers from the headquarters and various Northern Railway divisions, actively participated in the election process. Addressing the gathering, the newly elected office-bearers assured that concerns and issues of promotee officers would be raised before the Indian Railway Promotee Officers Federation (IRPOF).

General Manager Ashok Verma appreciated the valuable contribution of promotee officers to Indian Railways and praised their dedication and performance. IRPOF President Deepak Raj Rai, General Secretary Amit Jain, and other federation members were also present at the event. The meeting served as an important platform to recognise the dedication and hard work of promotee officers.
