U-17 Teams Shine at Sonipat Meet; School Celebrates Sporting Glory and Global Health Initiative

Sonipat- Rawal Convent School has once again proven its excellence in the sporting arena with a remarkable performance at the CBSE North Zone II Archery Tournament 2025, held at Puran Murti Global School, Sonipat, from July 14 to 18. The tournament saw participation from over 2,000 students across North Indian states, making the competition fierce and prestigious. Amid this intense sporting atmosphere, Rawal Convent School’s Under-17 Boys Recurve Team—comprising Jaydeep Rawat (Class VIII), Dev (Class X), and Anuj Sharma (Class IX) clinched the second position, showcasing precision, confidence, and teamwork.

Adding to the school’s achievements, the U-17 Mixed Recurve Team, represented by Jaydeep Rawat and Bhavya (Class IX), also secured second place in their category. Their back-to-back victories have secured them a place in the upcoming CBSE National Games, to be held in September 2025. School Chairman C.B. Rawal felicitated the winning teams, lauding their discipline and dedication. He addressed the students during the felicitation ceremony, encouraging them to “Aim high, shoot straight, and conquer Nationals,” a motto that now inspires many budding archers at the school.

Meanwhile, in a remarkable initiative towards student well-being, Rawal Convent School also hosted a group of trainee doctors from Germany, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. These international visitors conducted an engaging session with the students, discussing the importance of good health, balanced nutrition, and mental wellness. The doctors also carried out free health check-ups, including blood sugar, blood pressure, and weight screenings, providing students with practical exposure to preventive healthcare. The session was well-received by students and staff alike, offering a valuable blend of learning and awareness with a global perspective.
