Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh), September 25:Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025 (UPITS 2025) at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida. The mega event, scheduled from September 25 to 29, will bring together over 2,400 exhibitors, 1.25 lakh B2B visitors, and 4.5 lakh B2C visitors, making it one of India’s largest trade and cultural showcases.
Organised under the theme “Ultimate Sourcing Begins Here”, UPITS 2025 reflects the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to establish Uttar Pradesh as a global trade hub. Russia has been announced as the partner country for this edition, further strengthening international participation and cooperation.
The highlight of the event is the One District One Product (ODOP) Pavilion in Hall No. 9, where 343 stalls will display Uttar Pradesh’s signature crafts and products, including Bhadohi carpets, Firozabad glasswork, Moradabad metalware, and Saharanpur woodcraft. The pavilion will also facilitate networking between startups, designers, and global buyers.
On September 26, the Russia-India Business Dialogue will see policymakers, industrialists, and financial institutions from both nations discussing joint ventures, technology partnerships, and new investment opportunities.
The IT and Electronics Department is also showcasing cutting-edge technology through a live AI demonstration at its 200-square-meter pavilion, featuring smart displays, startup zones, and innovation hubs.
The trade show is not just about business—it is a cultural celebration too. Visitors can savour traditional delicacies such as Banarasi paan, Moradabadi dal, Mathura peda, and Khurja’s khurchan, alongside performances of Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Bundeli, Tharu folk traditions, Kathak recitals, and Sufi music.
On September 27, MoUs will be exchanged with 27 premier educational institutions, creating opportunities for students and startups, followed by a Khadi fashion show under the CM Yuva Yojana.
Since its inception in 2023, UPITS has grown in scale and impact, providing a platform for trade, cultural exchange, and innovation. With PM Modi’s presence this year, the event is expected to further boost Uttar Pradesh’s emergence as a global hub for enterprise and culture.
