New Delhi- Carrying forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ and the spirit of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the grand inauguration of the three-day ‘Patriotic Film Festival’ was held today at NFDC Siri Fort Auditorium, Delhi. The event was inaugurated by Kapil Mishra, Minister for Art, Culture & Tourism, Government of Delhi.
This festival, being organized from August 11 to 13 at NFDC Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi, aims to spread the spirit of patriotism among people through Indian cinema. Films such as Shahadat, Kranti, RRR, and many other acclaimed patriotic movies will be screened during the event. The special highlight of the festival is that all showcased films will be based on the theme of patriotism.
The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of cinema lovers, students, cultural organizations, and social activists from across the country. The venue was adorned with the colors of the national flag, and the echoes of patriotic music created an inspiring and vibrant atmosphere.
In his address, Kapil Mishra said, “This is a remarkable initiative by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and NFDC, bringing the message of patriotism to every citizen through cinema. Films are not merely a source of entertainment; they are also a powerful medium for ideas, ideals, and national unity.”
He further added that this festival not only reminds us of the sacrifices of the past but also inspires the youth to develop a sense of responsibility towards the nation.

Kapil Mishra said that, “America and Korea have taken their culture to the world through cinema and web series. Indian filmmakers, writers and artists too can use their creativity as a powerful medium for nation-building. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is moving towards becoming a developed nation and is standing on the world stage with confidence. It is our collective responsibility to tell India’s story to the world through our pens, cameras and ideas. Every dialogue, every scene and every word should be dedicated to the pride of Bharat Mata.”
On the first day, the films showcased brought to life inspiring stories from the freedom struggle to the achievements of modern India. After the screenings, audiences also participated in discussion sessions where they interacted with actors, directors, and film critics.

Organized through the joint efforts of NFDC and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the event aims to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and present the golden history of Indian cinema to the younger generation. The organizers believe that such events can turn art and culture into an effective tool for nation-building.
Over the next two days, several significant films will be screened, including those based on historical epics, tales of valor, and inspiring narratives of social change. The organizers are confident that this three-day cinematic journey will keep the flame of patriotism burning in the hearts of the audience for a long time.
