Ranchi, May 13 , 2024 : An estimated 27.40 percent of 64.58 lakh voters exercised their
rights in the first four hours of polling on Monday during the fourth phase of Lok
Sabha elections in Jharkhand. Sources at the office of Chief Electoral Officer
(CEO) said voting is going on peacefully in Singhbhum, Khunti, Palamu and Lohardaga
Lok Sabha constituencies of Jharkhand. Around 29.14 percent voters in Jharkhand’s Khunti, 26.95 percent in Palamu, 27.77 percent in Lohardaga and 26.16 percent in Singhbhum exercised their franchise, the Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand said. Voting will take place on these four seats in the state till 5:00 pm. Key candidates whose fates will be sealed in the EVM on Monday from these four seats include Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda from Khunti, besides Kalicharan Munda of Congress, Geeta Koda of the BJP from Singhbhum, Joba Manjhi of JMM, Sameer Oraon of the BJP from Lohardaga, and Sukhdev of Congress alongside Bhagat and independent Chambal Linda, BJP’s BD Ram from Palamu, and RJD’s Mamta Bhuiya.
