Chhattisgarh, 01 July: Chhattisgarh state cabinet under the chair of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai decided to give benefits of input assistance under Krishak Unnati Yojana to the farmers growing pulses, oilseeds, maize and other crops.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, while speaking to media at Mantralaya, Nava Raipur the cabinet meeting on Monday informed that the Sai cabinet made mportant decisions have long term impact on the socio-economic state of the state.
Sao said, the government amended provisions of the Krishak Unnati Yojana, avail the benefits of the KYU to farmers growing pulses, oilseeds, maize and other crops. The benefits will be given from the Kharif season 2025. Earlier the paddy growing farmers only qualify for the benefits.

Other decisions of Sai cabinet are constitute Chhattisgarh Pension Fund for better financial management of pension payment obligations for the retiring officers.
The Cabinet also approved the draft Bill-2025 regarding the formation of Chhattisgarh Growth and Stability Fund and its management and regulation to ensure long-term economic development and fiscal stability of the state
The Cabinet also approved the draft of Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy-2025 for the overall development of the logistics sector in the state.
With this policy, Chhattisgarh will develop as a logistics hub and the export infrastructure will be strengthened.

Taking advantage of the geographical location of the state, national and multinational companies in the logistics sector and e-commerce will be attracted to invest in setting up logistics hubs.
The storage capacity of the state will increase, which will provide cheap storage facilities to the industries, traders and farmers of the state. Reduction in the cost of logistics in the state will promote trade, investment and economic development, said the Deputy Chief Minister.
Encouraging setting up of Dry Ports/Inland Container Depots through this policy will provide an opportunity to micro, small and medium enterprises and local producers to access export markets, Sao said.
