Faridabad, 21 June : DPS Greater Faridabad celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of commitment to health and holistic well-being.
Principal Dr. Bindu Sharma shared that the school organized a series of yoga sessions in the run-up to Yoga Day. From June 9 to June 20, online yoga sessions were conducted for staff and parents of students at DPS Greater Faridabad. These early morning sessions provided participants with a refreshing start to their day and helped cultivate mindfulness amid busy routines.

From June 16 to June 20, children from Montessori to Grade III participated in Family Yoga sessions alongside their parents. These joyful, interactive sessions created meaningful moments of bonding while encouraging the practice of yoga as a lifestyle.
The celebration culminated on June 21 with a mass yoga session at Sunshine Park, where staff, parents, and students came together to mark International Yoga Day. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, promoting unity, physical fitness, and mental well-being.

Adding a special touch to this year’s observance, the school also hosted its first-ever Yogasana Competition for staff and parents. Participants showcased impressive poise and dedication, and the winners were encouraged and appreciated for their efforts.
On this occasion, Dr. Bindu Sharma emphasized that “health is the greatest wealth” and highlighted how the world has embraced the ancient Indian tradition of yoga. She urged everyone to integrate yoga into their daily lives for a healthier and more balanced future.
