New Delhi,17 June : Social Welfare, SC/ST Welfare, Elections, and Cooperation Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh dedicated an Ayushman Arogya Mandir to the public in C Block, JJ Colony, Bawana, on Tuesday. On the occasion, he said that Delhi residents will not only receive quality treatment close to home at these Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, but the staff at these centers will also treat patients with a deep sense of service. These health centers will be transformed into centers of excellence through public participation.
The Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and with the resolve for a Healthy and Empowered Delhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has today inaugurated 33 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and 17 new Jan Aushadhi Kendras to provide affordable medicines. Today is being seen as a Healthcare Revolution Day in Delhi. In just the first 100 days of the new government, 33 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have already been established, and the government aims to gift 1,139 such Mandirs to the people of Delhi under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
Ravinder Indraj further stated that in its very first Cabinet meeting, the Delhi Government implemented the Ayushman Bharat scheme, ensuring free medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh for Delhi citizens. Under the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana, every senior citizen aged 70 years and above will also be eligible for free treatment up to ₹10 lakh.
