CITIZENS SHOULD CONTRIBUTE THEIR BEST TO ACHIEVE GOAL OF DEVELOPED INDIA: LOK SABHA SPEAKER

Raigarh (Chhattisgarh), 27 December, 2023- Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla inaugurated the community building “Agroha Dham” of Agrawal Samaj built by Agroha Dham Charitable Trust in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh today.

On this occasion, Shri Birla noted that carrying forward the values of Maharaja Agrasen, the Agrawal community is working with dedication and compassion in all areas of human service including education and medicine. He urged the people to contribute the best in achieving the vision of a developed India.

On a note of optimism, Shri Birla mentioned that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state of Chhattisgarh will achieve new records of multidimensional economic and social development. Praising the Chief Minister, he said that his long experience, easy working style and his popularity among the people will definitely take the state forward.

Referring to the contributions of the Agarwal community in the freedom struggle, Shri Birla recalled that the Agarwal community helped the young revolutionaries of the country to fight against the British rule with their capital and helped in the freedom movement. Later, after independence, the Agarwal community also made an important contribution in the economic and social development of the country. Shri Birla further mentioned that the community has provided employment to lakhs of people across the country in the fields of industry, trade and social welfare and has worked to bring positive changes in the lives of every person in the society.

The Dharamshalas built by the community in the villages and towns of the country will be beneficial for all sections of the society, noted Shri Birla. Further referring to the contributions of the Agrawal Samaj in the field of education, he said that for a long time the society has been working in collaboration with the government to build Agrasen schools and colleges across the country. Similarly, the society has worked to build hospitals at various places for the treatment of the poor. Expressing happiness, Shri Birla said that Agarwal Samaj has done the work of service for the countrymen with a spirit of philanthropy and commitment. Shri Birla also appreciated the community work of Agarwal Samaj during disasters and crises in the country and abroad.

Shri Birla said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is transforming and becoming an economically powerful country. Everyone should contribute to this change, urged Shri Birla. Appealing to the youth and entrepreneurs, he said that we have to strengthen the economic system by using new technology so that the country develops rapidly. He said that Lord Agrasen has given us the responsibility of changing the life of the last person of the society for working for social welfare, therefore, we have to ensure that our thoughts and actions bring positive changes in society.
