The Impressive TimesNew Delhi: 14 June 2025: To ensure timely and hassle-free availability of medical certificates for Divyangjans, the state government will soon convene a meeting to issue necessary directives. This was stated by Social Welfare Minister Shri Ravinder Indraj Singh while addressing a distribution event for assistive devices as a chief guest, during a Social Empowerment Camp organized at the BJP State Headquarters. On this occasion, free tricycles and other aids were distributed to persons with disabilities.
Shri Ravinder Indraj affirmed that the Delhi Government is committed to empowering Divyangjans and making them self-reliant, in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Empowered Divyang – Capable India.” To achieve this, high-quality assistive devices are being provided with the support of ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India).
He also announced that beginning July, the Social Welfare Department will organize assistive device distribution camps on the 10th of every month in different districts. Eligible beneficiaries from any part of Delhi will be able to participate and avail benefits from the scheme. This initiative aims to ensure that no eligible person is left out of the benefits.
