New Delhi, 11 June: For the past 65 years, the Maharashtra Information Centre has been instrumental in nurturing a comprehensive image of Maharashtra in the capital. Resident Commissioner and Secretary of Maharashtra Sadan, R. Vimala, highlighted the centre’s significant efforts in supporting the Marathi community through various initiatives during a goodwill visit to the centre.
The centre’s In-Charge Deputy Director (Information), Manisha Pingle, welcomed Ms. R. Vimala and presented her with a recently published handbook for parliamentarians. Information about the centre’s various initiatives, publications, and events was shared. A detailed discussion was held regarding upcoming initiatives to be undertaken through the Maharashtra Information Centre and Maharashtra Sadan.

During the visit, Ms. R. Vimala inspected the entire office and visited the centre’s library, where she praised the collection of rare books and reference materials. In her feedback, she wrote, “The visit to the Maharashtra Information Centre, New Delhi, was highly satisfactory. The books published by the centre and the library’s collection are excellent. The centre’s work is highly commendable. Best wishes to all the staff.” Through this feedback, she expressed her satisfaction with the centre’s efforts and appreciated the staff’s contributions.


Information Officer Anju Nimsarkar Kamble, Stenographer Kamlesh Patil, Superintendent Raghunath Sonawane, Librarian Rameshwar Barde, Assistant Superintendents Rajesh Pagade, Uday Veer Singh, Kishor Wankhede, Nilesh Deshmukh, Prashant Shivrame, Pale, Kishor Gaikwad, Amika Mehto, and Deepak Deshmukh, among other officers and staff was present.
