Kabir’s Teachings Inspire Social Harmony and Upliftment of the Marginalized: Ravinder Indraj

New Delhi, 11 June 2025: Kabir’s timeless verses inspire social harmony and the upliftment of the marginalized. The spirit of Antyodaya (uplifting the last person in the queue) is at the core of both the Central and Delhi Government’s governance philosophy, stated Shri Ravinder Indraj Singh, Minister for Social Welfare, SC/ST Welfare, Elections, and Cooperation, while addressing a gathering on the occasion of Kabir Jayanti.
Shri Ravinder Indraj attended the event as the Chief Guest at the Delhi Secretariat. The program was organized by the Department of SC/ST/OBC Welfare, Government of Delhi, and witnessed participation from a large number of officials and people from various walks of life.
Speaking on the life and teachings of Sant Kabir, Shri Ravinder Indraj said that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, the Delhi Government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of all welfare schemes, especially those aimed at the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes, reach the most marginalized sections of society.

He added that Sant Kabir was a visionary who rejected caste, religious, and social hierarchies and championed the values of equality and brotherhood. “Sant Kabir taught us that the true worth of a person lies in their thoughts and actions, not in their caste, religion, or social status,” Shri Ravinder Indraj said.
The SC/ST Welfare Minister also announced that the Delhi Government will continue to organize such programs regularly to preserve and promote the spirit of social harmony and the rich tradition of saints.
The event featured devotional songs and cultural performances by artists, who beautifully conveyed Kabir’s teachings through music and poetry.
During the event Secretary, SC/ST Welfare Department, welcomed the guests and shared that this was the first time Kabir Jayanti had been celebrated at the Delhi Secretariat.
