More Work Done in 100 Days Than the Previous Government Did in 10 Years” – Delhi Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh

New Delhi, 11 June 2025: Delhi’s Minister for Water and Public Works Department (PWD), Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh, stated on Wednesday that the BJP-led government has accomplished more in its first 100 days than what the previous administration managed in an entire decade. He was speaking to journalists after participating in the Delhi Education Department’s programme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (A Tree in Mother’s Name).

Describing the initiative as a beautiful convergence of environmental concern and emotional attachment, the Minister said, “This initiative by the Delhi Government is a tribute to both the environment and motherhood. I appeal to all Delhi residents to plant a tree in their mother’s name, whether in a nearby park or outside their homes.”

The objective of the programme is to increase greenery in Delhi while creating a strong emotional connection between citizens and tree plantation. He also took the opportunity to highlight the major steps taken in the past 100 days regarding water management in the national capital. “Our officials are conducting continuous monitoring to ensure there is no shortage of water anywhere. We are also working swiftly to tackle the issue of contaminated water. Delivering clean water to every household is our top priority,” he stated.

Shri Singh further added that the demand for water has increased significantly compared to previous years, but the department is fully alert and working at the grassroots level to address the issue.

Asserting the difference in governance, Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh said, “In just 100 days, we have accomplished far more than what the previous government did in 10 years. This difference is not just in plans on paper, but in the results visible on the ground.” He emphasised that the present administration is focused on faster, more transparent, and people-centric governance, clearly setting itself apart from the previous regime.
