Grand Painting Competition in Delhi Based on Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Ji’s Integral Humanism Philosophy

New Delhi, 30 May 2025: The Minister for Art, Culture, Language, and Tourism of the Delhi Government, Shri Kapil Mishra, today inaugurated a grand painting competition at the National Gallery of Modern Art, India Gate. The competition is based on the philosophy of Integral Humanism by Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Ji, ‘Operation Sindoor,’ and related themes. On this special occasion, hundreds of artists from Delhi and various other states of the country showcased their creativity and intellectual depth.

While inaugurating the program, Shri Kapil Mishra stated that this competition is dedicated to the Integral Humanism philosophy of the great thinker, sociologist, economist, and statesman Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Ji. He emphasized that this philosophy has become more relevant today than ever before. Integral Humanism is not merely a political ideology but a path of social, cultural, and economic harmony—most suitable for a diverse country like India.

In his address, the Minister said that the core aim of Integral Humanism is to ensure a dignified life for every individual. It embodies the concept of Antyodaya, meaning the welfare of the person at the very end of the social ladder. He noted that this ideology has now completed 60 years, and its relevance continues to grow with time.

Shri Mishra further informed that all participating artists’ paintings would be displayed in an exhibition by this evening. He expressed hope that these artworks would serve as a powerful medium to convey the profound ideas of Integral Humanism to the general public in an accessible way.

Commending the policies of the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Minister remarked that the government is moving forward by imbibing the principles of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Ji. He added that had the nation embraced this ideology earlier, India would have become a developed nation much sooner.

On the occasion of the Delhi Government completing 100 days in office, Shri Mishra said, “These 100 days have been days of service, dedication, and development.” He praised the leadership of Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, saying that the Delhi Government is committed to public service with utmost sincerity and humility. The people, opposition, and social organizations all view the government’s work positively, and unprecedented development is taking place in the capital.

In conclusion, Minister Shri Mishra expressed his gratitude to Gyan Foundation, the National Gallery of Modern Art, and the Policy Planning and Research Centre (PPRC) for the successful organization of the painting competition. He stated that such creative activities not only foster positive public discourse but also play a vital role in connecting young artists to the ideological heritage of the nation.

This competition is not only a platform to reinterpret the ideas of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Ji but also a powerful medium to awaken a spirit of nation-building among the youth.

To encourage the participating artists, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva, BJP National General Secretary (Organization) Shri B.L. Santosh, and Delhi Mahila Morcha President Smt. Richa Pandey were also present at the event.
