NEW DELHI, 27 MAY: Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta stated that today marked another significant chapter in the administrative and developmental history of the capital, as a special informal program was held at Bharat Mandapam. The event focused on the 11 years achievements of the Central Government’s, three years of good governance by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, and 100 days of the Delhi Government’s initiatives and accomplishments. The event was graced by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena. Cabinet Ministers, MPs, MLAs, senior officials, policy experts, social workers, and representatives from various sectors were also present on the occasion. She further announced that the Delhi Government will release its 100-day progress report on May 31 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta said that under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the four-engine government has brought to life the spirit of “development, trust, and nation first.” Revolutionary initiatives like Digital India, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Ayushman Bharat, and India’s impactful presence at global platforms like G-20 reflect the country’s evolving global identity. She added, “Modi ji’s capable leadership has not only strengthened India as a nation but also proved that through mission’s like ‘Operation Sindoor’ India is fully committed to protecting the dignity and lives of its citizens.”
The Chief Minister further praised Delhi Lieutenant Governor Shri Vinai Saxena’s three-year tenure, describing it as a strong step toward administrative reform and transparency. She acknowledged significant measures taken under his leadership, including Yamuna River rejuvenation, action against illegal constructions, and the implementation of various infrastructure modernization projects, all contributing to peace and safety in the capital.
Speaking on the Delhi Government’s performance, the Chief Minister highlighted that the first 100 days have been fully dedicated to public welfare, transparency, and accountability. Every Cabinet Minister and MLA has worked tirelessly with dedication and a sense of service. She said that systems in Delhi that had long been dysfunctional have now been revived and put back on track with priority. Today, Delhi is once again progressing on the path of development and good governance. She emphasized that these 100 days have established a new work culture, commitment to public service, and a model of transparent governance. The Delhi Government has taken several visionary decisions that aim to bring real change in people’s lives, backed by a historic ₹1 lakh crore budget focused on infrastructure development.
In the healthcare sector, the government has taken bold steps by implementing the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, providing extensive health coverage to lakhs of citizens. The ‘Vay Vandana Yojana’ has also been launched for senior citizens aged 70 and above, offering cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh. The establishment of 1,139 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, 11 Integrated Public Health Labs, and 9 Critical Care Hospital Blocks is underway. To simplify registration under these schemes, a Mobile Registration Van service has also been introduced.
To rejuvenate the Yamuna River and promote tourism, the Delhi Government has signed an MoU with the Government of India. Under this initiative, ferry and cruise services will be introduced between Wazirabad Barrage and Jagatpur. Additionally, 27 new decentralized sewage treatment plants have been approved, and a comprehensive Urban River Management Plan for Delhi is being developed.
To combat the rising temperatures and climate change challenges, the ‘Delhi Heat Action Plan’ 2025 has been launched. For air pollution control, the Cabinet has approved trials for cloud seeding. Public grievance camps are now being held every Saturday across all districts to ensure direct access between citizens and administration. Further, the grievance redressal mechanism is being strengthened to enhance effectiveness.
To protect Delhi’s environment, the government has decided to keep sprinklers and smog guns operational year-round, except during the monsoon. For improving last-mile connectivity, special “Devi” buses have been introduced. Moreover, the Delhi School Education (Fee Regulation and Transparency) Bill 2025 has also approved by the Cabinet.
To empower women, the Cabinet also approved ‘Mahila Samriddhi Yojana’. Additionally, by increasing the minimum wage rate, the government has extended benefits to nearly 4 million workers.
On these achievements, Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta said, “Our government is moving forward with a spirit of service and responsibility. In these 100 days, we have taken strong steps to make administration accountable, policies transparent, and services accessible. Our resolve is to place Delhi among the cleanest, safest, and most developed cities in the world. This is the true definition of a ‘Viksit Delhi’.”
