Hyderabad, 27 May: Kalaburagi Former Member of Parliament Dr. Umesh Jadhav has been unanimously elected as the new National President of the All India Banjara Seva Sangh.
The election took place on Sunday, May 25, at the National Executive Committee meeting of the All India Banjara Seva Sangh (AIBSS), held at the Khairtabad’s Vidyut Girijan Bhavan in Hyderabad. With the completion of the term of outgoing National President Shankar Pawar, the executive meeting convened to elect the new president, during which Dr. Jadhav was unanimously chosen. He will serve a five-year term.
Dr. Umesh Jadhav has been actively involved in organizing Santh Sevalal Maharaj Jayanti and Lakkhi Banjara conventions in Delhi for the past several years. He has made sincere efforts to address the issues and demands of the Banjara community, traveling across the country to unite Banjara people and working for their welfare. His dedicated service and leadership have led to the provision of various facilities for Banjara communities in different states, earning him nationwide recognition. As a result, he has been unanimously elected to this prestigious position.
During the meeting, the outgoing President Shankar Pawar extended his best wishes to Dr. Jadhav and expressed hope that his leadership would usher in a new era of development for the Banjara community at the national level.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Jadhav expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the love and trust shown by the community. He pledged to work tirelessly—through word, deed, and spirit—for the progress and upliftment of the Banjara community. He also expressed his sincere thanks to all the members of the Executive Committee for their support in his election.
The Executive Committee meeting was attended by outgoing President Shankar Pawar, former Maharashtra Legislative Council member Nilaya Nayak, Telangana Ex MLC Ramulu Nayak, AP Ex DIG Jaganath Rao Korra, Ex MP Telangana Seetharam Naik, Karnataka representatives and former ministers Revu Nayak Belamgi, former MLA P. Rajeev, former MLC Jalaja Nayak, Prakash Rathod, and several other dignitaries were present.
