Ayodhya, May 23 : During his one-day visit to Ayodhya on Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the newly constructed Sri Hanuman Katha Mandapam at Hanumangarhi. Addressing a gathering on this historic occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized Ayodhya’s spiritual, cultural, and infrastructural transformation and reaffirmed his commitment to the protection and global promotion of Sanatan Dharma.
CM Yogi described Hanumangarhi as a confluence of devotion, power, intelligence, and strategy, and referred to it as an unwavering stronghold of Sanatan Dharma. He paid tribute to Baba Abhayram Das Ji Maharaj, crediting his vision and the dedication of Hanumangarhi’s saints and Nagas for bringing the grand Mandapam to life. “Hanumangarhi is not just a temple; it is a symbol of warrior spirit dedicated to protecting Sanatan Dharma,” he said.
Yogi hailed the Mandapam as a future spiritual hub that will propagate Sanatan values through discourses and storytelling. He lauded the Nagas of Hanumangarhi as warriors of a time when the Akharas stood strong against foreign invasions and religious persecution.
Reflecting on the transformation of Ayodhya, the Chief Minister criticized previous governments for neglecting the holy city, plunging it into disrepair and chaos. “Before 2014 and 2017, Ayodhya suffered from broken roads, power shortages, and neglected ghats,” he noted.
In contrast, he said, the ‘double engine’ government post-2017 has ushered in rapid development—Ayodhya is now connected by four-lane highways, an extensive railway network, and the newly built Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, putting the city on the global map.
“Just as Lord Ram arrived in Ayodhya on the Pushpak Viman today, a large aircraft landed here,” he said. He highlighted the successful Deepotsav celebrations as a global symbol of Ayodhya’s resurgence, stating, “Ayodhya gave the world Diwali, and today, Deepotsav is its global identity.”
CM Yogi said that Sanatan Dharma forms the core of India’s identity and must be protected at all costs. He warned against those who oppose Sanatan values, stating, “The country must recognize its true allies and adversaries.” In a pointed remark on regional geopolitics, he added, “Pakistan is nearing its end—terrorism will be its downfall.”
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple as a landmark achievement in the history of Sanatan Dharma. He stated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the 500-year-long darkness surrounding the Ram Janmabhoomi issue was finally dispelled. The double-engine government accomplished what was once impossible under previous regimes swiftly and decisively.
Recalling the historical milestones, Yogi cited the Supreme Court’s verdict in favour of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in November 2019, the Bhoomi Pujan by Prime Minister Modi on 5 August 2020, and the grand consecration of Shri Ram Lalla’s temple on 22 January 2024. “Modi ji is the first Prime Minister to visit Ayodhya and have darshan of Shri Ram Lalla. His unwavering resolve—‘Saugandh Ram ki khate hain, mandir wahin banayenge’—has been fulfilled with honor,” he said.
Emphasizing that Sanatan Dharma is the foundation of India’s identity and existence, the Chief Minister declared that any affront to its dignity would never be tolerated. He urged the saints and Nagas of Hanumangarhi to preserve their warrior spirit and remain vigilant in defending Sanatan Dharma.
CM Yogi also issued a stern warning against terrorism, particularly Pakistan-sponsored extremism. Citing the valor of Lord Hanuman, he said, “India never provokes, but if provoked, it does not spare.”
He recalled how Hanuman ji conveyed this very message in the court of Ravana. “Pakistan is destroying itself by harboring terrorism. Our armed forces have neutralized more than 124 terrorists. This is Pakistan’s doing—it shelters those who threaten peace. Terrorism will be its downfall, and its days are numbered,” Yogi asserted.
CM Yogi said, “Pakistan holds no place in the spiritual realm. A nation without spiritual identity has a limited existence—its end is inevitable.”
Paying heartfelt tribute to Lieutenant Shashank Tiwari, a martyr from Northeast Ayodhya, the Chief Minister said the state government honours its bravehearts by providing ₹50 lakhs in compensation, giving one family member a government job, and constructing a memorial in the martyr’s name.
Positioning Ayodhya as the global epicenter of Sanatan Dharma, CM Yogi said that mentioning Ayodhya inspires reverence among devotees worldwide. “There isn’t a follower of Sanatan Dharma—be it in America, Canada, Europe, Australia, or New Zealand—who doesn’t feel drawn to Ayodhya when they visit India,” he said.
He further underlined the sacred tradition of visiting Hanumangarhi before proceeding to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. “Just as in Kashi, devotees first visit Kaal Bhairav before having darshan of Baba Vishwanath, in Ayodhya, one first pays respects at Hanumangarhi before seeking blessings from Shri Ram. This is the enduring expression of Sanatan Dharma’s faith and tradition,” he concluded.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the Sri Hanuman Katha Mandapam as a vibrant centre for Satsang, storytelling, and spiritual gatherings. He emphasized that the Mandapam will elevate the grandeur of Hanumangarhi by providing accommodations for special guests and dignitaries. Assuring the full support of the double-engine government, he committed to the continued development of Hanumangarhi as a prominent spiritual landmark.
Calling upon the saints and Nagas to enhance the scale and impact of Sanatan Dharma’s programs, CM Yogi stressed the importance of discerning true friends from adversaries. He urged that those obstructing Sanatan Dharma’s path be identified and reported to the government and administration. Drawing inspiration from Lord Hanuman, he exhorted everyone to overcome obstacles with determination and achieve their goals.
Referencing the Mahakumbh of 2025, the Chief Minister noted that over 66 crore devotees participated peacefully, without any disruptions—a testament to the strength and harmony of Sanatan Dharma, which stands ready to guide the world.
Highlighting the historical connection between Gorakshapeeth and Ayodhya, Yogi recalled the pivotal roles played by his guru Mahant Avaidyanath Ji Maharaj, VHP leader Ashok Singhal Ji, and Digambar Akhara’s Mahant Ramchandra Ji Maharaj in strengthening the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Their relentless efforts culminated in the magnificent Shri Ram Lalla temple we see today. The commitment of Hanumangarhi continues this legacy, with the new Mandapam serving as a living symbol of this enduring resolve.
On this occasion, Premdas Ji Maharaj, Mahant Santram Das Ji Maharaj, Mahant Muralidas Ji Maharaj, Mahant Ramcharan Das Ji Maharaj, Sarpanch Ramkumar Das Ji Maharaj, Mahesh Das Ji Maharaj, Gaurishankar Das Ji Maharaj, Sanjay Das Ji Maharaj, Baba Raju Das, Mahant Avdhesh Kumar Ji Maharaj, Kamal Nayan Das Ji Maharaj, Devendra Prasadacharya Ji Maharaj, Ramlakhan Das Ji Maharaj, Ramanand Das Ji Maharaj along with Ayodhya Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi, MLAs Ved Prakash Gupta, Ramchandra Yadav, Dr. Amit Singh Chauhan, Chandrabhan Paswan, Ramjanmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, BJP District President Sanjeev Singh, Mahanagar President Kamlesh Srivastava as well as saints and devotees were present.
