PM Modi inaugurates the Bikaner–Mumbai train service and unveils the newly redeveloped Deshnoke Amrit Bharat Railway Station.

Bikaner, May 22: On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bikaner–Mumbai train service and dedicated the newly redeveloped Deshnoke Railway Station, transformed under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district.

During his visit, the Prime Minister explored an exhibition at the station, interacted warmly with children, and received handmade paintings as mementos.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi landed at Nal Airbase in Bikaner and proceeded directly to the revered Karni Mata Temple in Deshnoke, where he offered prayers. He was welcomed by temple officials, who presented him with a model of the Karni Mata Temple, along with traditional prasad and a donation at the sanctum.

The Prime Minister was received by Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, and Governor Haribhau Bagde.

As part of the same event, PM Modi is also set to lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹26,000 crore. This includes the inauguration of 103 Amrit Stations across the country. Major initiatives under these projects involve:

  • Over 900 km of national highways in Rajasthan

  • Seven major road infrastructure projects

  • Three vehicle underpasses

  • 1,000 km of electrified railway tracks

  • A PowerGrid transmission project to boost energy infrastructure

These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening connectivity, infrastructure, and economic growth across the nation.
