NEW DELHI, 19 MAY: A team of AHTU, South West District had done a commendable and humanitarian work by tracing & reuniting a missing woman namely Keli Devi age 63 years with her family safely under “Operation Milap”.
INCIDENT, TEAM AND OPERATION:
On 13.05.2025, a complaint was received at PS Vasant Kunj South, regarding missing of a woman namely Keli Devi age 63 years. Immediately, a DD entry was lodged at PS Vasant Kunj South, New Delhi and search of the missing woman was made by PS staff but no clue was found.
To trace the missing woman, a dedicated team under the leadership of Insp. Balbir Singh, I/C AHTU/SWD comprising W/HC Sharmila, HC Jitendra and W/Ct Seema was constituted who took keen interest to trace her. The team met the family of missing woman and also engaged secret sources in the case. The AHTU team shared her information and photographs with many institutions, police officers and known persons who had helped the team in the past. The CCTV footage was checked but no clue was found. During strenuous exercise, staff showed her photographs to the public and tried to search her physically. Sincere efforts bore fruit and finally on 16/05/2025, the missing woman was traced at under Delhi Cantt flyover, Delhi. During enquiry, it was revealed that the missing woman is a mentally disturbed senior citizen. The missing woman was safely handed over to her family under “Operation Milap” after completing all the legal formalities.
