13 ILLEGAL BANGLADESHI IMMIGRANTS DETAINED BY NDR

New Delhi, May 15: On May 15, 2025, the NDR/Crime Branch team detained 13 Bangladeshi nationals from Village Auchandi, Delhi, for allegedly staying in India without valid documentation. Bangladeshi identity documents have been  recovered from their possession.
INCIDENT:
A team comprising of SI Dipender & Gurmeet, HCs Ram Niwas, Rajbir, Parmanand, Ram Naresh & Kuldeep, WCt Gyanwati, Sona, Vaishnavi & Shikala was constituted under the supervision of Inspr. Yogesh & Vinod Yadav and overall supervision of Umesh Barthwal, ACP/NDR, Crime Branch, Delhi. The team was tasked to apprehend Bangladeshi Nationals illegally residing in India.
Local sources were developed and the team gathered information about Bangladeshi nationals. On May 13, 2025, a reliable informer of HC Rajbir informed that some Bangladeshi illegal immigrants were seeking residential space in Village Auchandi, Delhi. The team promptly responded and laid a trap. Their efforts paid off, and 13 Bangladeshi illegal immigrants were apprehended from Village Auchandi. During questioning, they admitted to being from Bangladesh and lacking proper documentation to reside in India.
The individuals, hailing from Village Khushawali, District Khudigram, Bangladesh, are:
1. Md. Rafikul s/o Nagore (Male, 50 years)
2. Khoteza Begum w/o Md. Rafikul (Female, 41 years)
3. Md. Anowar Hussain s/o Md. Sayaid (Male, 37 years)
4. Md. Aminul Islam s/o Md. Nafuse (Male, 28 years)
5. Zorina Begum w/o Md. Anowar Hussain (Female, 27 years)
6. Afroza Khatun w/o Md. Aminul Islam (Female, 25 years)
7. Md. Khakhon s/o Md. Rafikul (Male, 20 years) s/o Md. Rafikul
8. Hasna w/o Md. Khakhon (Female, 19 years)
    Along with 5 minor children.
Enquiry:
They further disclosed that they came to India with the help of one person namely Zalil Ahmad, a resident of Bangladesh. They began their journey from their native villages in Bangladesh by bus, reaching the India-Bangladesh border area around two years back. From there, they crossed the border through unfenced agricultural fields and then hired an auto rickshaw to Cooch Behar railway station. Their agent, Zalil Ahmad, returned to Bangladesh from Cooch Behar while they continued their journey to Delhi by train. They reached Kharkhoda, Haryana by bus, where they started working as casual laborers in a brick kiln located in Village Sisana, Kharkhoda, Haryana.
The process for their deportation has been initiated.
