“Respecting Her Dignity” – Anti-Teasing and Bullying Campaign by District Legal Services Authority, Faridabad

Faridabad, 13 May: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Faridabad is conducting a district-wide awareness campaign titled “Respecting Her Dignity – Anti-Teasing and Bullying” throughout the month of May 2025. The campaign is being held under the esteemed guidance of Hon’ble Sh. Sandeep Garg, Ld. District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA, Faridabad, and under the dedicated supervision of Smt. Reetu Yadav, Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, DLSA, Faridabad.

This campaign aims to promote respect for women’s dignity, spread legal awareness, and address the growing concern of teasing and bullying, particularly among youth. The initiative is committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment in educational institutions and public spaces.

Smt. Reetu Yadav, Ld. CJM-cum-Secretary, DLSA, informed that the campaign includes the following activities:

Awareness and sensitization camps in schools and colleges.

Workshops on legal aid, counselling, and the process of lodging FIRs.

Self-defence training sessions for girls and women.

Creative competitions such as poster making, essay writing, and debates on the theme of women’s dignity.

Educational sessions on the difference between teasing and bullying, and their psychological impact on victims.

Sensitization workshops for auto, bus, and taxi drivers to promote respectful conduct.

Legal literacy sessions on the rights of victims and the complaint redressal mechanism.

As part of the campaign, an awareness camp was organized today at Government College, Sector-16, Faridabad, where students actively participated and engaged in meaningful discussions on women’s safety and legal rights.

The campaign will continue throughout the month in various schools and colleges across District Faridabad, creating a ripple of awareness, responsibility, and collective action.

The District Legal Services Authority, Faridabad, urges all citizens to support this noble cause and contribute towards creating a respectful and secure environment for women and girls.
