New Delhi, 21 MAR 2024– India’s rise in economy and technology serves as a pivotal assurance for global peace, harmony, and order, stated Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar today. Speaking at the inauguration of the International Strategic Partnership Program (IN-STEP) at the Upa-Rashtrapati Niwas, he underscored India’s commitment to collaborating with like-minded nations to uphold global peace, stability, and harmony.
Emphasizing India’s transformative journey, Vice President Dhankhar dismissed notions of India as a dormant entity, highlighting its unstoppable ascent fueled by visionary leadership, inclusive growth, and resolute determination. Against the backdrop of an evolving geopolitical landscape, he stressed the need to foster a conducive environment for peace, with India assuming a pivotal role.
Asserting that peace is safeguarded through strength, the Vice President advocated for preparedness as the pathway to tranquility, noting that conflict repercussions extend beyond warring nations to impact the global economy and supply chains. He advocated for diplomatic solutions and dialogue, dismissing isolationist approaches in favor of meaningful engagement during turbulent times.
The IN-STEP initiative, he noted, underscores the shared commitment to dialogue and collaborative policymaking for conflict resolution. The program, comprising diverse perspectives from the Indian Armed Forces, Paramilitary Forces, Foreign Services, and representatives from 21 foreign countries, serves as a testament to this commitment.
Present at the event were Shri Rajit Punhani, Secretary, Rajya Sabha, Lieutenant General SS Dahiya, Commandant, NDC, and participants of the IN-STEP program.
