Operation Sindoor is underway — entire Opposition & nation stand firmly with Govt in this fight: Sanjay Singh

NEW DELHI, 08 May: In a resolute display of political unity, parties across the spectrum have thrown their weight behind the Centre following the Indian Army’s ongoing Operation Sindoor, which has already eliminated over 100 terrorists and their associates. Calling it a “matter of national pride,” AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, emerging from the all-party meeting on Thursday, declared that the nation stands united in its resolve to stamp out Pakistan-sponsored terrorism “completely and decisively.

Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh addressed the media on Wednesday after attending an all-party meeting convened by the Central Government to brief leaders on Operation Sindoor. Sanjay Singh said that the Foreign Secretary, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh had presented detailed information on the operation. The Government informed the meeting that the Indian Armed Forces had carried out targeted strikes on terrorist hideouts, and that over 100 terrorists and their associates were killed in the operation.

Calling Operation Sindoor a moment of national pride, the AAP Rajya Sabha MP said, “Under Operation Sindoor, our army has executed a large-scale action against terrorism. The success of this mission is a proud moment for the entire country.”

Sanjay Singh also revealed that the recent developments in Poonch were discussed during the meeting. “Pakistan killed our innocent civilians in Poonch. The entire Opposition called for a strong retaliatory response. The Government has stated that it is fully prepared to handle all situations. Operation Sindoor is still ongoing. The entire Opposition and the nation are united on this. We all want the complete annihilation of terrorists. Those who have desecrated the sindoor of our mothers and sisters are being forcefully answered by the Indian Army through this operation. Any retaliation by Pakistan will be met with even greater force by the Government,” he said.

The AAP Rajya Sabha MP also condemned Pakistan’s continued support for terrorism. “Pakistan is standing with the terrorists. Army officials were present at the funeral of Masood Azhar’s family members. Even terrorists who are banned by the United States were present there. It is now an open secret that the Pakistani government and army are siding with terrorists,” he said.

He added that incidents in Poonch, Rajouri, and the attack on the gurdwara were also discussed during the meeting. “The Government has assured us that they are monitoring every situation closely and that every single act will be met with a fitting response. There has also been a demand to blacklist and ban the TRF organization, and to officially declare it a prohibited group,” Sanjay Singh stated.
