INTRODUCTION:
To have a check upon the street crime, pickets were deployed at strategic points during evening hours and intensive vehicle checking was being conducted at these pickets.
TEAM & OPERATION:
On 05.05.2025 a dedicated police team comprising SI Sandeep Yadav, ASI Chatar Singh, HC Dhirender and HC Gopal, was constituted and deployed at Singhara Chowk Picket in the area of PS Sadar Bazar, under the close supervision of Inspr. Sahdev Singh Tomar, SHO/PS Sadar Bazar and guidance of Sh. Shankar Banerjee, ACP/Sub-Division Sadar Bazar.
The staff was conducting intensive vehicle checking at the picket. At about 07:20 PM, the police team noticed that two persons riding on a motorcycle without helmets were coming from Nabi Karim side. They were signaled to stop for checking, but they took a U-turn and tried to flee from there. The police staff chased them and after a short chase, both the persons were apprehended. The accused persons disclosed their identity as Rahul and Jeetu, aged 19 years, both residents of Railway Colony Tughlaqabad, Delhi. They could not produce any ownership proof of the motorcycle. On further verification, the motorcycle ridden by them was found to be stolen in case vide E-FIR No. 12324/25, dated 05.05.2025 u/s 305 (b) BNS PS Pul Prahladpur, Delhi.
INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, the accused persons Rahul and Jeetu disclosed that they are illiterate and belong to poor families. They are drug addict and to fulfill their needs, they used to commit crime in different areas of Delhi but they could not be apprehended so far. About two days before, they had stolen a motorcycle from the area of Pul Prahladpur to commit snatching on the stolen motorcycle. On the evening of 05.05.2025, they had come in Sadar Bazar area to commit crime on this motorcycle. When the police staff signaled to stop them, they immediately took a U-turn and tried to escape but they were apprehended by the alert cops.
Both the accused persons have been arrested under appropriate sections of law and the stolen motorcycle has been seized.

1. Rahul, R/o Railway Colony, Tughlaqabad, Delhi, age 19 years.
2. Jeetu, R/o Railway Colony, Tughlaqabad, Delhi, age 19 years.
RECOVERY:
One motorcycle make Bajaj Discover stolen from the area of PS Pul Prahladpur, Delhi.
