Delhi Division is organising First Aid and CPR training to Sahayaks (Porters) and frontline staff at major railway stations.

New Delhi, 05 May: A series of first aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training sessions are being conducted at Anand Vihar Terminal, New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Old Delhi, and Ghaziabad Railway stations of Delhi Division. These sessions are led by a dedicated team of doctors of Delhi Division.

The training has targeted outsourced staff such as Sahayaks (porters), Housekeeping alongwith frontline Railway staff. The objective is to enhance their capacity to respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies occurring within station premises.

Shri Pushpesh Raman Tripathi, Divisional Railway Manager Delhi said that the sessions emphasize life-saving techniques and essential first aid practices through practical demonstrations and hands-on training, so they can manage critical situations confidently, thereby strengthening passenger safety protocols. He further said that during these sessions 602 personnel have been recently trained including outsourced 360 Sahayaks and 45 Housekeeping staff.
