The Impressive TimesNEW DELHI, 21 APRIL 2025: TASKING AND TEAM :- As directed by senior officers time and again and prioritised by DCP Dwarka District, social media handles of anti-social elements are being monitored regularly and the youth posting photos with firearms or illegal weapons are being verified to dissuade them from getting involved in criminal/gang related activities.
A dedicated team of vigilant and technically sound police officials headed by Inspr. Vishvendra Choudhary- I/c Special Staff, Dwarka District comprising, SI Jaibir No. D-693, SI Pawan Kumar No. 1261/D, HC Sandeep No. 1812/DW, HC Dev Kumar No. 413/DW, W/HC Geeta No. 2251/DW and Ct. Parvinder No. 1804/DW from Special Staff, Dwarka was constituted under overall supervision of ACP Sh. Ram Avatar ACP/Ops. Dwarka District.
The said team worked tirelessly and scrolled through hundreds of social media accounts, identifying one budding criminal posting pictures & reels with illegal weapons on social media.
INFORMATION & OPERATION:-
On 08.04.2025, while team of Special Staff/ Dwarka District was present in the area of PS-Dabri in search of the boy Anas, a secret tip off was received that the said boy Anas, who is posting pictures and videos of illegal arms is standing in front of his house with a pistol.
When the team approached him, he ran inside his house. Accordingly, the team swung into action and apprehended him from the roof of his house.
Subsequently, 01 sophisticated pistol with 02 live cartridges were recovered from the accused.
During interrogation, accused disclosed that he aspired to make a big name for himself in the world of crime and was therefore possessing this firearm and posting pictures to instill fear and make a name for himself.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:-
Anas Khan s/o Mahboob Khan, R/o Jankipuri, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, Aged 18 Yrs.
He is previously involved in a murder case & also an attempt to murder case.
RECOVERY:-
01 SOPHISTICATED PISTOL & 02 LIVE CARTRIDGES.
