Vivek Vihar Police Arrests Nasir, Seizes 1.382 kg Ganja in Shahdara

NEW DELHI, 04 APRIL 2025: BACKGROUND OF THE CASE & INVESTIGATION:-
To curb the illegal selling and supply of narcotics substances and put a stop to such activities, a team was formed under the close supervision of Insp. Afaque Ahmad, SHO/Vivek Vihar. The team consisted of SI Sonu, HC Amit, HC Joginder, and Ct Sachin, with a directive to ensure zero tolerance for organized crime in the area.
On 02.04.2025, during patrolling, the team reached the railway line near Peer Baba ki Majar, Jwala Nagar, where they encountered a suspect carrying a polythene bag. Upon seeing the police party, the suspect hesitated and attempted to flee. The alert staff immediately sprang into action, chasing and apprehending him within a short distance. The suspect, identified as Nasir, son of Mohd. Umar, sustained injuries from a sharp object during the apprehension.
The information was conveyed to the duty officer and undersigned regarding this matter. Consequently, SI Sonu was immediately dispatched to the scene for necessary action. Upon inquiry, the suspect failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for fleeing the spot. A search of the white polythene bag revealed narcotics substance inside, which was weighed using an electronic machine, yielding a total of 1.382 kg of ganja recovered from accused Nasir, son of Mohd Umar. Accordingly, a case was registered under FIR No. 175/2025, dated 02.04.2025, u/s 20 of the NDPS Act at PS Vivek Vihar, and an investigation has been initiated. During the investigation, accused Nasir was arrested and is being produced before the Honorable Court.

Nasir S/o Md. Umar R/o Janta Colony, Vivek Vihar, Shahdara Delhi, Age- 35 yrs. He is a BC of PS Vivek Vihar.
