New Delhi, March 29, 2025: Rajasthan’s Deputy CM, Smt. Diya Kumari, visited the ongoing Rajasthan Utsav 2025 at Bikaner House in New Delhi on Saturday.
Additional Resident Commissioner of the state, Smt. Anju Om Prakash, and Joint Resident Commissioner, Smt. Rinku Meena, guided the Deputy CM through the festival, providing her with detailed insights. Deputy Resident Commissioner Manoj Singh, along with officials and staff from the Bikaner House offices, were also present.
Smt. Diya Kumari explored the craft fair and food festival organized by Rajeevika, engaging with farmers, artisans, and handicraft artists from different regions of Rajasthan. She visited their stalls, learned about their production techniques, and gathered information about their products. She also encouraged the artisans by appreciating their craftsmanship and experiences.
Extending her best wishes for the Hindi New Year, the Deputy CM welcomed visitors to the nine-day Rajasthan Utsav, which is being held to commemorate Rajasthan Foundation Day and will continue until April 2.
Visit to Tourist Welcome Center
Deputy CM Diya Kumari also visited the Tourist Welcome Center at Bikaner House. She was welcomed with floral bouquets by the Deputy Director of the Tourism Department, Smt. Deepali Sharma, Assistant Director Chhatrapal Yadav, and Tourism Officer Manoj Sharma.
Smt. Diya Kumari appreciated the tourism department’s stall at Rajasthan Utsav and left her remarks in the visitor register. The event also featured mesmerizing cultural performances by folk artists from Rajasthan, including Gair dance, Chang Dhap dance, Ghoomar, Rim Bhavai dance, and Nat Kala, delighting the audience.
Interaction with Media Representatives
During the event, Smt. Diya Kumari interacted with national media representatives, highlighting the remarkable initiatives in Rajasthan’s tourism sector. She urged them to promote Rajasthan tourism positively on a national level. Additionally, she invited media representatives to explore various tourist circuits across the state.
