GOOD WORK DONE BY THE STAFF OF POLICE STATION TIMARPUR, NORTH DISTRICT, DELHI

NEW DELHI, 29 MARCH 2025: On 23.03.2025, the complainant Shri Ngawang Choedak, r/o Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi, age 32 years got lodged an online e-FIR No. 80031212/25 u/s 305/331(4) BNS, in which he stated that someone broke into his house at the night and stole his one handbag containing currency of 250 EURO and some documents. The investigation of above said case has been entrusted to HC Mula Ram, who recorded the statement of the victim and further investigation was initiated accordingly.

TEAM, INVESTIGATION & OPERATION:
To solve the case, a dedicated police team comprising HC Mula Ram, HC Ajay, HC Kapil and HC Om Prakash was constituted, under the close supervision of Inspr. Praveen Kumar, SHO/PS Timarpur and guidance of Addl. DCP, Shri Nirav Patel, working as ACP/Sub-Division, Timarpur, Delhi.

During investigation in the case, the team sprang into the action and they conducted technical investigation and footage of around 45 CCTV Cameras installed in the vicinity were checked & analyzed to trace the accused persons. Consequently, on the basis of CCTV surveillance and secret sources, the accused was identified as Harcharan Singh @ Harsh, r/o Majnu Ka Tilla, Civil Lines, Delhi. Efforts were made to locate him, but the team could not succeed, however, they continued the search of the accused person.
Ultimately, continuous and sustained efforts of the police team bore fruits and on the basis of technical investigation & secret sources, the team succeeded in apprehending accused person Harcharan Singh @ Harsh, age 22 year from a Park under Signature Bridge. The stolen property i.e. currency of 250 EURO, Adhar card and Voter card of the complainant were also recovered from his possession.

INTERROGATION:
During the interrogation, the accused, Harcharan Singh @ Harsh, 22 years old, confessed to his role and involvement in the present night burglary case that occurred on the night of 22/23.03.2025, around 12:30 AM. The accused further revealed that he broke into the complainant’s house by forcing open the locked door on the 2nd floor, stole a handbag, and escaped. He later removed 250 Euros and documents from the handbag and threw the empty bag into the Yamuna River to destroy evidence. He was planning to exchange the stolen currency, but nabbed before it by the alert police team along-with the stolen property.

Further, it also disclosed that the accused is a school dropout and has studied up to 9th standard only who fell in bad company and started to consume drugs and alcohol etc. Hence, to fulfill his daily needs for drugs etc., he has been indulged in committing such crimes.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:
• Harcharan Singh @ Harsh, r/o Majnu Ka Tilla, Civil Lines, Delhi, age 22 years. (His previous criminal antecedents are being verified).

WORKED OUT CASE:
1. Case e-FIR No. 80031212/25 dated 23.02.2025 u/s 305/331(4)/317(2) BNS, PS Timarpur, Delhi.

RECOVERY:
1. Stolen Currency of 250 EURO.
2. Adhar Card & Voter Card of the victim.
3. Clothes worn by the accused person at the time of committing offence.
