New Delhi, March 21, 2025: In a significant organizational overhaul, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has restructured its leadership across six states, highlighting its commitment to national expansion. The changes were approved during a meeting of AAP’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC), chaired by National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
As part of the revamp, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia has been appointed as Punjab Prabhari, while Dr. Sandeep Pathak, AAP’s National General Secretary (Organisation), has been given additional responsibility as Special Prabhari of Chhattisgarh. Other key appointments include:
Arvind Kejriwal took to X (formerly Twitter) to extend his best wishes to all appointees, stating, “Best wishes to all AAP colleagues on their new responsibilities.”
Addressing the media, Dr. Sandeep Pathak emphasized that the PAC meeting focused on expanding the party, strengthening its organizational structure, and addressing key strategic issues. He reiterated that these appointments were aimed at ensuring AAP’s growth at the grassroots level and preparing for upcoming electoral challenges.
Expressing gratitude for his new role, Manish Sisodia stated, “The AAP government in Punjab has achieved remarkable progress over the past three years under CM Bhagwant Mann. Our work in education, healthcare, and governance has made a visible impact.”
Sisodia further highlighted that the AAP is confident of winning the Ludhiana West by-election and that his primary objective is to strengthen the party’s governance and public outreach in Punjab.
Newly appointed Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj emphasized the party’s priority to rebuild and expand its base in the national capital. “An organization is easiest to rebuild after a loss. Those who remain with the party through challenges are its true strength,” he remarked.
On governance challenges, Bharadwaj criticized the BJP-led central government for attempting to weaken democracy by undermining elected representatives. “An elected government must be respected. MLAs represent the voice of the people, and officials must acknowledge their authority,” he asserted.
AAP’s leadership revamp signals a renewed focus on grassroots engagement, electoral preparedness, and governance efficiency. With key leaders taking charge in strategic states, the party aims to further consolidate its position and strengthen its organizational framework ahead of upcoming elections.
