Debate Competition on ‘One Nation, One Election’ Held at Arya College.

Panipat, March 18, 2025: If there is one topic widely discussed across the country today, it is ‘One Nation, One Election’. Whether in cities, villages, markets, or community gatherings, people are actively debating this subject.

A debate competition on ‘One Nation, One Election’ was organized at Arya College, where students participated enthusiastically. Dr. Archana Gupta, the BJP State General Secretary, was the keynote speaker at the event. She also awarded prizes to the top four winners of the competition: Shivani, Sushma, Ankita, and Nitish.

Dr. Archana Gupta emphasized that ‘One Nation, One Election’ is the need of the hour and that the Government of India should take swift action in this direction. She explained that frequent elections lead to unnecessary wastage of resources, which could instead be utilized for national development.

She stated that elections are held almost every year—whether for Parliament, State Assemblies, Local Bodies, or Panchayati Raj Institutions. Due to frequent elections, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is frequently imposed, slowing down the pace of development and restricting governments from making key decisions for national progress. This hinders the overall growth of the country.

To ensure rapid and uninterrupted development, the ‘One Nation, One Election’ system should be implemented as soon as possible, she asserted. She urged society to raise its voice in favor of this system for the greater good of the nation.

Dr. Archana Gupta also highlighted the significant role of college students in shaping the nation. She stated that students are well-informed about national affairs and deeply concerned about the country’s welfare. Therefore, they should actively support and advocate for the implementation of ‘One Nation, One Election’.

The students pledged to spread awareness on this issue.

Prominent attendees at the event include Sunita Goyal (BJP Mahila Morcha State Minister), Sunil Kansal, Ravindra Panchal, Sachin Singla, Rajbir Chauhan, and Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Meena Rani
