The Executive Committee, comprising the President, two Vice Presidents, and ten members representing Asia and Africa, meets annually to oversee responsibilities entrusted by the AARDO Conference.
Founded in 1962, AARDO is dedicated to promoting South-South and Triangular cooperation in rural development. With 32 full member governments from both continents, the organization plays a key role in fostering collaboration and shared growth. Recognized as an international body by India, AARDO functions through a range of organizational and technical activities, including human resource development programs and strategic alliances.
AARDO’s initiatives are sustained through contributions from member countries and logistical backing from prominent nations. By facilitating knowledge exchange and practical solutions, the organization continues to strengthen rural economies and enhance the quality of life in member nations. The upcoming sessions in New Delhi are expected to further these goals, reinforcing the importance of global cooperation in addressing rural development challenges.
