Railway Board’s Finance Member Flags Off CLW’s Milestone 500th Locomotive of FY 2024-25

CHITTARANJAN, 12.01.2025 – Ms. Roopa Srinivasan, Member Finance, Railway Board/New Delhi & ex-officio Secretary to Government of India visited Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) on 12th January 2025.
During her visit, Ms. Srinivasan commenced her itinerary at Ganapati Hut and proceeded to inspect Shop Nos. 16 and 19. During the visit, she flagged off the 500th locomotive of financial year 2024-25 produced by CLW. She then visited Deshbandhu Loco Park, where she appreciated the rich heritage of CLW.

Following this, Ms. Srinivasan inspected the Kasturba Gandhi Hospital in the railway township. She then visited the Administrative Office and toured the Heritage Museum Gallery & appreciated. Later, she chaired a meeting with all Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs) and Chief Heads of Departments (CHODs) in the Administrative Meeting Hall in gracious presence of Shri Vijay Kumar, General Manager. During the session, she was briefed on CLW’s technical advancements and major projects through a detailed presentation, which she highly appreciated.
In the afternoon, Ms. Srinivasan attended a meeting with railway union and association members in the Administrative Meeting Hall. Ms. Srinivasan also held a detailed discussion with Shri Vijay Kumar , General Manager.
