Chandigarh, February 22 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government has implemented the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Parivar Suraksha Yojana (Dayalu-।।) to provide financial assistance to the families in cases of death or disability of any citizen due to accidents involving stray animals in the state. Under this scheme, financial assistance ranging from Rs. 1 lakh to 5 lakh is provided based on various age groups under this scheme, said the Chief Minister while speaking during the ongoing Budget Session of the State Vidhan Sabha here today.
Sh. Manohar Lal stated that as per the notification issued on November 9, 2023, the Dayalu-।। scheme has been notified to provide financial assistance to residents in cases of accidental death or permanent disability due to the stray animals/dogs in the state.
He further explained that under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh is provided for up to the age of 12 years, Rs. 2 lakh for the age group of 12 to 18 years, Rs. 3 lakh for the age group of 18 to 25 years, Rs.5 lakh for the age group of 25 to 40 years, and Rs. 2 lakh for citizens above 40 years of age.
