Shimla, December 25 Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized the critical role of determination in achieving success, urging the youth to set clear objectives and work with unwavering commitment. Speaking at the National Fashion Week event in Shimla on Tuesday evening, the Chief Minister stressed that no goal could be accomplished without strong willpower and determination.

He further appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs and engage in positive activities like sports and other constructive pursuits. “The state government is taking stringent measures against drug mafias to safeguard the future of the youth,” he added.

During the event, CM Sukhu also highlighted the government’s efforts to boost tourism in Himachal Pradesh, citing initiatives like the Winter Carnival in Shimla. He mentioned that the carnival would offer a platform for emerging talent through cultural programs, with future plans to include fashion shows as part of the festivities.

The Chief Minister also praised the daughters of Himachal Pradesh for their remarkable achievements in various fields, noting that they are bringing honor to the state. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transforming the education and healthcare sectors, aiming to make Himachal Pradesh more prosperous and self-reliant.

At the National Fashion Week, the Mr. North India Supermodel contest saw Suryansh Chandel from Sundernagar securing the top position, followed by Karthikeyan Thakur from Mohali as the first runner-up and Suyansh Dhingra from Faridabad as the second runner-up. In the Miss North India Supermodel contest, Simone Mehta from Rohru was crowned the winner, with Shreya Thakur from Sujanpur Tihra and Savita Thakur from Karsog finishing as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Contestants from four states participated in the competition.

The Chief Minister felicitated the winners during the ceremony. Additionally, Kuldeep Sharma, affectionately known as ‘Nati King,’ was honored with the prestigious ‘Heera of Himachal’ award for his contribution to the state’s cultural heritage.

The event was attended by MLA Harish Janartha, Principal Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Naresh Chauhan, Chairman of Live Times TV Sahaj Shabad Goyal, Chief Editor Pankaj Sood, Raghav Sood, and several other dignitaries.
