New Delhi, Oct 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maharashtra on Saturday to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a series of major development projects, with a total value exceeding Rs 32,800 crore. As per a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), PM Modi will first visit Washim, where he will launch initiatives related to the agricultural and animal husbandry sectors worth approximately Rs 23,300 crore. In Thane, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate additional projects valued at over Rs 32,800 crore. Among the key projects is the 18th installment of the *PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi*, through which Rs 20,000 crore will be disbursed to around 9.4 crore farmers across the country. With this release, the total funds provided under the scheme will reach approximately Rs 3.45 lakh crore.

Additionally, PM Modi will launch the 5th installment of the NaMo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana, disbursing Rs 2,000 crore to farmers. The Prime Minister is also set to inaugurate the much-anticipated Mumbai Metro service, with the first journey running from BKC to Aarey JVLR. He will personally take a metro ride from BKC to Santacruz stations as part of the event.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation over 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), totaling more than Rs 1,920 crore. These projects encompass custom hiring centers, warehouses, cold storage units, and various post-harvest management facilities. In line with empowering farmers, PM Modi will inaugurate 9,200 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), which collectively boast a turnover of Rs 1,300 crore. One of the highlights of the visit will be the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project, an initiative aimed at improving connectivity across Thane. The project, costing around Rs 12,200 crore, will feature a 29 km stretch with 20 elevated and 2 underground stations.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the *Eastern Freeway Extension* from Chheda Nagar to Anand Nagar, Thane, worth approximately Rs 3,310 crore, which will significantly enhance connectivity between South Mumbai and Thane. Another major announcement will be the launch of Phase 1 of the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project, valued at around Rs 2,550 crore. These ambitious initiatives mark a significant step forward in Maharashtra’s infrastructure and agricultural growth, with a strong emphasis on benefiting farmers and improving urban transportation.
