Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha commemorated the 123rd birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, at the BJP State Karyalay in Agartala. Saha praised Mookerjee as a patriot who dedicated his life to India’s integrity and sovereignty. The event, attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva, and several Parliamentarians, paid tribute to Mookerjee’s contributions.
Following the commemoration, CM Saha inaugurated the State Level Training Programme for Dental Surgeons at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala. Organized under the National Health Mission’s National Oral Health Programme, the initiative aims to strengthen Tripura’s oral healthcare system and introduced teleconsultation services.
Additionally, Saha launched websites for the Tripura State Dental Council, Agartala Government Dental College, and Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) Hospital, aimed at improving access to information and services for dental professionals and healthcare administrators. The event was well-attended by stakeholders from the healthcare sector and policymakers.
